To allow civilians to evacuate from war hit Aleppo town, Syrian forces have stopped their repeated attacks on the region. Russian Foriegn minister , Sergei Lavrov said: "Combat operations by the Syrian army have been halted in eastern Aleppo because there is a large operation under way to evacuate the civilians.".

Asserting to the statement Josh Earnest, White House spokesman said, "We are welcoming the indication that something positive could happen but we're going to have to wait and see whether those statements are reflected on the ground.

Our approach to the situation has been to listen carefully to what the Russians say, but scrutinise their actions," 

Though right now no official reaction from the Syrian government is recieved, but a Human Rights monitoring group at Damascus has confirmed that the fighting seemed suspended.
