New Delhi: BJP president Amit Shah can continue to command the organisation by the end of the year. In view of the crucial assembly elections being held in three states of Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra this year, fresh discussions have begun at the party and the Union level on this possibility. If agreed, the party will elect the executive Chairman for Shah's cooperation.

According to information, Shah has convened a meeting of all State organization ministers on June 13 and 14 to conduct the organization elections. According to sources, however, the discussion of retaining Shah as chairman is still at an early stage. But in the wake of assembly elections in three states, Shah may be retained as the head of the organisation. However, Shah was given a six-month service extension due to the Lok Sabha polls after the chairman's tenure was completed in January.

Shah's responsibilities have risen considerably after he became the Home Minister, as the party executive chairman could choose for his cooperation. Even if the Shah is not agreed to retain the president, he will be indirectly entrusted with the organization.
