Tadepalli: On  International Tiger Day, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released the poster and browser prepared by the Forest Department in the camp office. The officials also informed the Chief Minister about measures and other programs to be taken for the protection and conservation of tiger areas in the state. During this, the officials told the CM that the Nagarjuna Sagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve Forest, spread over an area of 3727.82 square kilometers, is the largest in the country. He also said that at present there are about 60 tigers in Nagarjuna Sagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve Forest.

In fact, the officials also talked about this, saying, 'There is a decrease in the number of tigers in the world. But due to the conservation programs being done in the state, the number of tigers is increasing. Apart from this, the officials also told the Chief Minister that 'primitive Chenchu' Girijan community has an important role in conservation of tigers and other animals in Nagarjuna Sagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve Forest. ' Apart from this, he also informed that the Government of India and the National Tiger Conservation Authority have also given the Excellence Award in view of the role being taken for the protection of forest wealth in collaboration with the primitive Chenchu community.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated the officials of the Forest Department for the programs going for the protection of tigers. Let us tell you that in this program, Special CS Neerab Kumar of Forest and Environment Department, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest N. Pratip Kumar and other forest officers were involved.
