Arun Jaitley didn't attend the 'Bengal Global Business Summit' today

Arun Jaitley, the Finance Minister was supposed to attend the third edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit but he was absent from the event today as there is no good situation going on between the state and centre.

The situation between the West Bengal and Union Government has worsened after the arrest of two TMC MPs Tapas pal and Sudip Bandyopadhyay. Both of them have been held in their relation with the Rose Valley Scam.

Following their arrest the state government has arrested the Jayprakash Majumdar, a BJP leader on bribery charge.

At the event, President Pranab Mukherjee, Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, State Finance Minister Amit Mitra and industrialists Sanjiv Goenka, Sajjan Jindal and Kishore Biyani are present.

The BGB summit will be a two day event which will be attended by the representaives of 27 countries.
