Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has clarified on Monday that NRC will not be applicable in the state. With this, he said that the Citizenship Amendment Act should also be discussed again in the House. In the Bihar Assembly, Nitish Kumar said that there is no question of getting NRC in Bihar. The conversation was only about Assam and PM Narendra Modi has clarified the same.

Nitish Kumar said that there should be a special discussion about CAA. If anyone wants it should be discussed in the House. If all parties agree, then it should be considered afresh. As far as the NRC is concerned, there is no justification for implementing it in Bihar nor is there any such intention of the government. Nitish Kumar's party (JDU) MPs voted in favor of CAA in Parliament. On the NRC, Nitish Kumar has always said that he is not in favor of it. BJP and JDU are running a joint government in Bihar.

Prashant Kishore, vice-president of JDU, has been a lot of attackers on the Modi government over CAA and NRC. Even Prashant has praised the Congress for the proposal against this bill. I once again assure the people of Bihar that CAA and NRC will not be applicable in the state."
