New Delhi: Indian politician and former external affairs minister of state E Ahamed expired due to cardiac attack around 2 am on Wednesday. As per the latest reports, union budget announcements can be postponed.

On Tuesday, when President Pranab Mukherjee was addressing a speech to both the houses of parliament, Ahamed suddenly fainted. Ahamed was sent to RML ( Ram Manohar Lohia) hospital, where he was shifted to ICU.

Later on, senior doctor of RML hospital stated, " E Ahamed has passed away at 2:15 am. His body has been taken to AIIMS hospital for embalming (a method to preserve a corpse from decaying) as the facility is not available at RML."
