In January 2017, transportation system has shown great reach, even after demonetization impact. As per the latest reports, in the month of January 2017 Cars sales were found to raise by 11%, while public vehicles sales grew by 14.4%.
The data released by SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) shows, public vehicles sold last month counted 265320, which is 14.4% more than the previous year's data. Whereas, car sales collated 266320 in the month of January, which was found to be 231917 in December 2016.
Despite growth in public transport and cars, commercial vehicles and two wheeler sales were down in January. As per the reports, commercial vehicles decremented by 0.72%, while two-wheeler dropped by 7.39%.
