In November 2017, England will head towards Australia for playing test series of 2017-18. And in this series they are planning to play matches in day and in night. This may be day night test series which is not yet decided. “Discussions over whether Australia will host England in a first day-night Ashes cricket Test next year are taking place but nothing has been decided yet,” Cricket Australia (CA) said on Thursday.

According to the local media of England, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is ready for playing cricket under lights in the test series of 2017-18, in November. A CA spokesman, however, said “there had not been an agreement yet and the tour itinerary was still being finalized, though a day-night Test was part of the discussions. Ongoing scheduling of day-night Tests in the Australian summer is a natural progression,” the spokesman said.

“The Ashes is a great contest and attracts huge audiences both at the ground and on television, but nothing has yet been confirmed for next summer.” He added. CA experienced this interest of people in day-night matches after organizing the under light match between New Zealand and South Africa.

But before playing test match with Australia, England is going to invite West Indies to their home country for another series of test matches in the month of August in 2017. Australian cricketer Steve Smith also told local media on Thursday that “he felt pink ball cricket was here to stay, particularly given the way lessons learned from last year’s match against New Zealand had been applied.”
