SRINAGAR: In a shocking development, Kashmiri girl Zaira Wasim, who played Aamir Khan’s daughter in blockbuster Dangal has apologised to the people if her “recent actions or those she recently met” hurt anyone.
Zaira, who recently called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as a part of her film’s success, this afternoon took to Facebook to post the “apology and confession” whereby she asked people not to follow her footsteps and that she doesn’t deserve to be a role model.
Though Zaira couldn’t be contacted for comments, sources close to her said the 16-year-old felt offended by “some comments made by trollers. She is basically an emotional little girl, who is equally religious minded. This post is her emotional outburst as she presumably took things to her heart,” sources said.
However, it couldn’t be immediately verified if she received any threat in the militancy-hit region.
