This biggest reason behind the massive defeat of Congress in Delhi assembly elections

In the recently concluded assembly elections in India, the Congress has got a very bad defeat in 2020. In the second consecutive assembly elections, the Congress has been reduced to nothing. Meanwhile, party leaders are constantly attacking each other. The Congress strongly supported the Muslims on the CAA and NRC issue. Despite this, the Muslims rejected the Congress. Muslim voters have supported AAP like last time for the Delhi Assembly. It is known that there are about 22 percent Muslim voters in Delhi, who did not come with the Congress. In Muslim-dominated areas like Okhla, Sadar Bazar, Matiamhal, Ballimaran and Chandni Chowk, the trend of people about AAP was clearly visible. Apart from this, the Congress lost badly in Okhla, Seemapuri, Seelampur and Babarpur.

For your information, let us tell you that one of the main reasons behind the huge defeat of the Congress was that the party was contesting elections only with the name and work of former Chief Minister Sheila Dixit. Apart from this, the Congress had a complete lack of concrete issues. Even after Sheila's death, the party could not think of anything further.

In addition to the development work done during the tenure of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the party's electoral agenda in Delhi for 15 years, CAA and NRC were the issue. However, both of these proved to be meaningless to the public. The party neither had a new vision nor candidates with strong support base. Surprisingly, even the central leadership of the party did not take any interest in Delhi elections and campaigning. Due to being unwell, Sonia Gandhi could not even hold the only scheduled public meeting.
