Today, the Election Commission can freeze the Samajwadi Party famous symbol Bicycle if both the groups of the party decide to contest the election in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls seperately. One group is led by Mulayam Singh Yadav while other is headed by chief minister Akhilesh yadav.

Both of them have reached the office of the poll for first hearing on party symbol dispute. The EC is likely to decide the fate of SP's symbol by the afternoon. 

In the Uttar Pradesh, from February 11 the elections are going to held in seven phases. Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav will have to choose different party names and symbols , if the panel today freeze the symbol.
