In Madhya Pradesh, a major fire broke out at two transformer factories in Govindpura industrial area of Ashoka Garden police station area in Bhopal. The fire was so severe that within two and a half hours, everything was burnt to ashes. Oil tankers and gas cylinders parked in the factory started spreading the fire even faster. More than 20 fire tenders of fire brigade, corporation, BHEL rushed to the spot to control the fire and brought the fire under control. No cause of the fire is yet ascertained.
It has been learnt that the Western Transformer Industry and Awadh Transformer Industry are adjacent to govindpura industrial area. Both were used to make transformers. The fire broke out in the Western Transformers Industry around 9.30pm on Tuesday and soon the fire went out of control. After which the fire engulfed the gas cylinder kept in the factory and the oil tanker parked in the premises.
After which blasts started in cylinders and tankers. The fire also engulfed the neighbouring Awadh transformer industry. The fire was so severe that both the factories were badly burnt. Fire tenders and water tankers of Fire Ministry, Municipal Corporation, BHEL rushed to the spot to control the fire. No clear cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Minister Vishwas Sarang, Bhopal Collector Avinash Lavanya and several other officials also rushed to the spot after the fire was reported. He obtained all the information from the authorities about the incident.
