Formation of gas in infants is a common occurrence and can make your baby very uncomfortable that could keep her awake all night. This could leave you feeling stressed and exhausted as well.

- Try and give your baby a break from feeding. Pat her on the back every five minutes or so. While you pat her make sure she burps, this will ensure there is no gas formation in your baby by the time she finishes feeding.
- Always sit straight and place a pillow on your lap.
- Place your infant on the pillow so that your infant's head is a bit elevated.
- Doing this prevents gas buildup and prevents colic.
- Before putting your infant to sleep keep massaging her stomach and pat her back, this will make her burp removing all the gas.
- When you infant cries she tends to swallow more air, leading to more gas formation.

- Try and distract her with sounds and different objects. Walk around with her and keep patting her back.

- Avoid foods that are known to cause gas. Foods like cabbage, broccoli should be avoided.
