Hyderabad: Hyderabad University has announced to keep its hostels open to students outside Telangana with limited facilities, which are stranded due to the declared lockout across the country. Students whose homes are in Telangana have been asked to vacate the hostels by tomorrow afternoon. As previously announced, the university has suspended all academic and related activities until 6 April.

Reconsidering its previous order for students to vacate hostels, the university administration cited nationwide disruptions to the transportation network in announcing its decision amid the rapidly changing situation regarding the spread of Kovid-19 in the country . However, in view of the welfare of the students, whose homes are away from Hyderabad as well as service staff in the university, the hostels will be run with skeletal staff with normal and basic mess facilities, and campus health centers provide only emergency medical services. Will do it.

The university has announced that in the light of the provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897, implemented by the Telangana state government for the prevention and control of the Kovid-19 epidemic, students who wish to remain on campus should do so after signing an undertaking Will be allowed.
