M Karunanidhi, President of political party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DML), on Thursday night was admitted to Chennai's Kauvery Hospital  as he is suffering from Lung and throat infection. "Karunanidhi was readmitted with breathing difficulty due to throat and lung infection" said the hospital.

One of the doctor who is treating him said that "The treatment has been initiated to clear his infection. He is stable and is being treated by a team of doctors".

This is second time that the President is admitted to the hospital. On December 1, he was admitted here due to suffering from dehydration.
