New Delhi: Supreme Court discharged Aircel telecom owner Maran Brothers dropping all the allegations against both of them. Former Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran and Kalanithi Maran were arrested due to the charges claimed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
CBI had alleged the charge on both the brothers, " Dayanidhi Maran, as Minister in the UPA-I government, used his influence to help Malaysian businessman T.A Ananda Krishnan buy Aircel by coercing its owner Sivasankaran to part with his stake."
ED too charged a case of money laundering against the duos which was denied by the victims.
