Oscars 2017: 'Moonlight' insanely triumphed the best picture after 'La La Land'

Awkward, we must say. Who actually deserves the Oscar for the best picture of the year? Confusingly, 'La La Land' was announced as one, whereas the 'Moonlight' clinched the top dog position.

Warren Beatty, Hollywood actor, messed the whole cast and audience there at the awards. He took so long to read the best picture victor. As he handed the card to Faye Dunaway and the latter announced 'La La Land' as the winner, the whole Hollywood horde went gaga over this.

The humiliated American producer, Jordan Horowitz, who produced La La Land, gave the acceptance speech followed by correcting the name of the winner at the podium. He said, "This is not a joke," and announced 'Moonlight' as the best picture.

Barry Jenkins could barely think of furnishing the throng there with an acceptance speech. He quoted, "Even in my dreams this could not be true, but to hell with dreams, I’m done with it because this is true. Oh, my goodness."

The award counted third for 'Moonlight' after winning for best adapted screenplay and best supporting actor for Mahershala Ali, whereas 'La La Land' clinched six awards in total.

Watch out what happened at the stage.
