Mumbai: In suburban Kurla, the statue of Mother Mary was treated disrespectfully by the unidentified persons yesterday, as per stated by police.

The grotto of Mother Mary installed on a roadside in Kurla was desecrated at around 4 AM, the police as per the sources news said.

The senior official revealed that due to the incident tension occurred between the people. He further said "In the CCTV footage, two bikers, with face covered under helmets, were seen desecrating the statue, he said, adding a case was registered at the VB Nagar Police station against the two"

The police have booked two unknown persons under section 295 of the Indian Penal Code.
