Reliance Jio had claimed against and Ookla for alleging Airtel as the fastest network in India. The company said that the advertisement, which shows Airtel the fastest one is all fake and misleading.
However, Ookla didn't change its support and explained them how did they test the fast speed of the network. Still, Ookla supports Airtel and states that speed test is fully accurate and reliable.
As per the source, Ookla gave a statement, "Ookla fully stands behind the accuracy and reliability of the methodology used to designate Airtel as India’s fastest mobile network."
Later, Ookla added, "Due to limitations of the Android platform, the ‘Active Carrier’ does not always indicate the actual data provider in the devices with multiple SIMs. In these situations, Ookla applies additional data sources and mechanisms during post processing to help determine the actual data carrier being tested."
