The Delhi Police today in the suicide case of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) PhD student has filed a FIR under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 3 (x) of SC and ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

On Monday, in Munirka Vihar area committed suicide at his friend house where he has gone to have food. As per the sources news, according to police, he was depressed due to some personal reasons and they have not recovered any suicide note from his body and from the spot.

On March 10, at his Facebook post as per the sources news, he wrote "There is no Equality in M.Phil/PhD Admission, there is no equality in Viva-voce, there is an only denial of equality. When equality is denied everything is denied,"
