Scientists from Brown University have developed several algorithms, which allows your robots to ask intelligent questions to its owner, rather than showing errors. This will reduce their confusion while fulfilling your order.
Professor Stefanie Tellex from Brown University said, “But it is easy for the robot to make errors, either by misunderstanding what we want or by being in situations where commands are ambiguous. So what we wanted to do here was come up with a way for the robot to ask a question when it is not sure."
Eric Rosen, an undergraduate working in Tellex’s lab shared the idea of designing new feature in robots, "But when it is ambiguous, we want it to ask questions because mistakes can be more costly in terms of time."
