SAARC satellite will be launched in March; says ISRO Chairman

Thiruvananthapuram: As per the ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar, the India's ambitious South Asian satellite, will be launched in March next year, which was planned by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the benefits of SAARC members. Previously, it was scheduled to launch in December this year.

"We have started the assembly for the launch in Sriharikota. So we are working towards making it happen as early as possible and are targeting for launch by December end", said ISRO Chairman.

"We need to do more work means we need to have more hands”, he added, when asked about plans to improve manpower and infrastructure facilities.
