The Supreme court today has asked the Kerala Government in the case of stray dog culling in the state to file an affidavit in four weeks. The Bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra asked the government to give shelter to stray dogs.
The court after hearing various pleas filed by animal activists and group of people came up with the order.
On January 17, the court held that stray dogs too have a right to live. The bench as per the sources news observed “compassion should be shown towards stray dogs but at the same time, these animals could not be allowed to become a menace to the society.
