The Supreme Court today has declined an urgent hearing of a PIL seeking to restrain AIADMK general secretary Sasikala from becoming the Tamil Nadu chief minister. The hearing is declined till the verdict is pronounced in a corruption case.

The court next week will give its verdict on the disproportionate assets case. On Tuesday, the acting chief minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam said that he was forced to resign from the CM post by Sasikala and its group. He also said that he can take back his resignation if party workers want.
