Uphaar cinema fire tragedy: SC rejects plea of Gopal Ansal

In Uphaar cinema fire tragedy today the Supreme Court has refused the plea of Gopal Ansal in which he has asked more time from the court to surrender. He has been ordered to undergo the rest of his Jail Term.

Last month the bench gave relief to his elder brother Sushil Ansal due to his age and health. The court asked the Gopal Ansal to complete his jail term.

On February 9, the court gave one-year jail imprisonment to Gopal Ansal while Sushil Ansal was ordered to skip it due to age and health.

In 1997 fire broke out in Uphaar Cinema during the screening of a film in which many people lost their life and other suffered injuries.
