Patna: Today, a nationwide shutdown began in Bihar with the various trains being in a halt State. The trains at Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur railway stations were stopped by the supporters and workers of CPI, CPI-M, CPI(ML) and other parties. Also, they blocked the roads at several places.
According to a senior government official, “the state administration has made elaborate security arrangements in view of the shutdown”.
Congress said that, “it had not called for a 'Bharat bandh' (shutdown) but only sought to observe 'Jan Aakrosh Diwas' by holding country-wide protests against the move.
