The name of former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly is on the top of the contenders' list for the high post of BCCI's president. Yesterday, the Supreme court removed Anurag Thakur and Ajay Shirke from the BCCI's  president and secretary posts, respectively. Now, after their removal there are a number of probable for the position and out of them, Sourav's name is most likely to be accepted.

At present, he is the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal, which also support the changes suggested by Lodha committee. As of now, the vice-president from central zone C.K Khanna is holding the charge of Executive President of BCCI.

The other two names of top contenders, after Ganguly are TC Matthew, who is  vice-president from West Zone and Gautam Roy who is Vice-president from East zone.
