New Delhi: 1,800 Schools, which comes under the three Municipal Corporations of City, were ordered to be shut down today, as the heavy smog captured the National Capital with some of the worst pollution affecting the study of around 10 lakh children.

According to Yogendra Mann, spokesman for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi,"It has been decided to keep the municipal schools shut on Saturday because of smog in Delhi. The schools will operate as normal from Monday".

The environment ministry on Friday, called a convention with executives of neighbouring states to discuss ways to fight with pollution.
