Lucknow: Monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly can be held in August through video conferencing. It is being considered in this regard. However, the final decision will be taken by the state government and CM Yogi Adityanath. Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit expressed the possibility that the assembly session could be held in August.

He said that another option we have is to hold a session at Lok Bhavan. Lok Bhavan has enough space for all the MLAs to sit. Could the upcoming session be like a 'hybrid session' organized by the British Parliament? Refusing this, the Speaker said that there is no such idea. Due to Corona epidemic, the British Parliament held a hybrid session of the House of Commons in April, in which only 10 to 12 members were present inside the House and the remaining members were involved in the proceedings of the House through video conferencing. The presence of members in the House was based on the system of alternating visits.

There are 403 members in the UP Legislative Assembly, for which almost the same number of seats are available within the House. In view of the Corona epidemic, the government has made social distance mandatory, so there is no place to seat all members within a certain distance within the assembly.
