The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is beginning his two-day visit to Varanasi on Friday and during his visit here he is going to inaugurate several projects of various sectors such as infrastructure, railways, financial inclusion and sanitation. 

One among the highlights is Water Ambulance which already reached Varanasi. On Wednesday, the water ambulance through roadways was brought to the 11 NDRF headquarters at Chaukhaghat. 

According to the scheduled program, water ambulance will be taken to the Dockyard on Thursday and will be transported to Ganga from here. The central government has entrusted the responsibility of the operation of water ambulance to the NDRF which will be announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate water ambulance on  September 22, from Bada Lalpur located Trade Facilitation Center and Crafts Museum.

With the introduction of water ambulance, it will be easier to take patients from village to BHU Hospital or other city hospitals. In rural areas, it takes a lot of time to take the patients suffering from road accidents or those with serious diseases to the hospital by ambulance through road. 

Modern facilities for treatment required for patients until they reach the hospital is present in the water ambulance. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will be present in the ambulance and with the oxygen cylinder and the ventilator it is a moving ICU.  Water ambulances will also have facilities of delivery.
