10 Islamic State terrorists killed in security in Afghanistan

Jalalabad: In an operation carried out by security forces in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, 10 terrorists of the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) have been killed. The provincial government issued a statement on Saturday and informed about this. According to a statement issued by the provincial government, 10 IS militants have been killed during an operation conducted by security forces in the Achin district of Nangarhar province during the last 24 hours.

The security forces have also destroyed three control centres, eight posts, two tunnels and a bunker of the militants in the last few days. This mountainous province, 120 km from Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, encounters security forces and militants from time to time, forcing thousands of rural people to take shelter in safe places.

Earlier in Nangarhar province, the number of people killed in a horrific bomb blast in a mosque during the Friday prayers has increased to 62 and about 60 others are said to be injured. So far no comment has been made by the Islamic State. At the same time, security forces have intensified operations against terrorists.
