10 leaders of GSP join UPPL

 10 members of Gana Suraksha Mancha (GSP) have joined the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) on Wednesday. The members of Kokrajhar MP Naba Kr Sarania led GSP joined UPPL in a ceremony was organized at the party office of UPPL in Kokrajhar’s Mwiderkhoro. The UPPL president and new BTC chief Pramod Boro welcomed the new members with traditional Aronai and party symbol in the joining ceremony. 

The GSP members who joined UPPL  include Dhajendra Rabha (contested from Soraibil), Pankaj Das (Jomduar), Ranendra Koch (Kachugaon), Thaneswar Rabha (Baokhunguri), Sajoy Sarania (Salakati), Hafizur Rahman (Srirampur), Mafidul Ahmed (Guma), Arun Boro (Khoirabari), Daniel Mardi (Nagrijuli) and Robin Murmu (Panchnoi Serfang). All the 10 members were official candidates of GSP, who contested the last BTC elections but failed to win the election battle.

Attending the joining programme, Pramod Boro also said, “The 10 GSP members, who have joined the UPPL today, had contested the last BTC elections on GSP ticket.”He said the GSP fought the election for a change in the BTC as the UPPL did and their fight for the change has not been fulfilled.
