Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar suggested that Hyderabad will become 100 percent immunization city in the next 10-15 days if GHMC, health officers and field staff work together for 100% immunization of all the city colonies. He said while interacting with Health Secretary SAM Rizvi, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner on Thursday. He directed the medical and municipal employees to conduct household survey and vaccinate eligible people above 18 years of age. Kumar advised the officials to conduct the exercise in mission mode, adding that there was a good response to the mobile vaccination drive in the GHMC limits. Similarly, they wanted colony-wise teams to be formed, with manpower and material, to vaccinate those who have not yet looked into it. Hyderabad recorded 359 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Friday, taking the death toll to 3,854 and the recovery rate to 98.38%. A total of 2,38,19,727 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state so far, out of which 6,39,971 have tested positive and 6,43,812 persons have been cured. As of Friday, there were 6,728 active Covid-19 cases in the state. The data also showed that a total of 494 people were cured on Friday.
