10th BRICS summit: PM Modi to meet Chinese President

 

Beijing [China], Jul 21 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet his Chinese counterpart President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.

Worth mention here BRICS summit will be held in Johannesburg next week, According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

The two leaders will talk about bilateral ties and cooperation within the BRICS framework. It is noted that The 10th BRICS summit is scheduled to carry out from July 25 to July 27. Prime Minister Modi will turn up in Rwanda on July 23 for a bilateral visit. He will then visit Uganda for two days, before landing in South Africa on July 25.

The talks of the two leaders come three months after the informal summit held in China's Wuhan city.

Both the leaders held delegation-level talks and underlined the need for strengthening bilateral relations between India and China during the Prime Minister's visit to China in April.

Prime Minister Modi had said that the bilateral ties between the two Asian countries will be based on shared vision and strong ties while Chinese President Xi gave his consent to cooperate and work with India to seek guidance. (NT)
