120 kg heroin seized in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: A large consignment of drugs was once again seized in Gujarat. About 120 kg of drugs have been seized by the Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS). The market value of which is estimated to be 6 crores. This was informed by Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi. He is scheduled to brief the DGP of Gujarat on the matter soon through a press conference. Harsh Sanghvi shared the post on Twitter saying that Gujarat police has achieved another success. Gujarat Police is gearing up to eliminate drugs from the state and is moving ahead.

Earlier, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized about 3,000 kg of heroin worth about Rs 21,000 crore from Mundra port in Kutch in September. A large consignment of drugs was smuggled through two cargo containers. It was declared shipping semi-processed talc stone.

3000 kg heroin seized: Drugs were sent from Afghanistan. It is also being said that the seized heroin was exported by Hassan Hussain Limited, Kandahar and was being imported by Ashi Trading Company in Vijayawada through the Bandar Abbas Port, Iran to Mundra Port in Gujarat. DRI arrested a Chennai couple and another accused from Coimbatore in the case, which is currently with the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
