Ahmedabad: The total number of patients rose to 1,10,971 after 1,344 new corona infection cases were reported in Gujarat on Friday. The state health department has given this information. The department said that 16 more people died of corona infection, with the virus 3,183 dead in the state.
In a release issued here, the department said that in the meantime, 1,240 more people were discharged from hospitals after recovering, raising the figure of recovering people to 91,470. According to this, 16,318 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state. The total number of cases rose to 33,378 after 174 new cases of infection were reported in Ahmedabad district on Friday. The state health department said that the death toll of 3 more infections from the virus has gone up to 1,767.
India has witnessed a surge in coronavirus cases for the third day in a state. This is the third day when more than 95,000 new cases have been reported in a day. 97,570 new cases were reported on Saturday. With these new cases, the number of corona patients in India has increased to over 46 lakh 59 thousand. But, the relief is that there has also been an increase in the number of people recovering from the infection. According to statistics, more than 36 lakh 24 thousand people have been healthy so far.
