GHAMC has stopped power supply of 139 transformers

Heavy rains in Telangana cause another difficulty. Due to the flooding of streets and the flow of some colonies, Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) has cut off power supply through 139 distribution transformers in GHMC limits. TSSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director G Raghumar Reddy said, "Power supply in these areas will be restored as soon as water levels drop. Already, officials and staff are restoring power supply in shifts in all the rain affected areas.

Chairman Reddy examined the power supply situation in various rain affected areas. He visited Hafiz Baba Nagar, Nadeem Colony and others. 42 electric poles and 22 distribution transformers were damaged in Hafiz Baba Nagar, while 22 electric poles and seven distribution transformers were damaged in Nadeem colony. He said that 189 section level disaster management teams have been arranged to attend complaints from time to time, with heavy rains expected in the next 48 hours.
