USA: Twitter and Elon Musk are ready for a purge. This time the business is focusing on inactive accounts. According to Musk, Twitter will remove 1.5 billion accounts that have been inactive for some time. This will free up a lot of usernames. The update that displays the status of the account is the latest in a series of updates that Musk has announced for the microblogging platform. Since taking control of Twitter, Musk has been focusing on fake and spam accounts. The focus is now on accounts that are not active. Earlier, Twitter was also in the process of doing the same. The new expose is closely related to the account status update Musk provided recently. According to Musk, Twitter will start releasing the namespace of 1.5 billion accounts. It is currently unknown when the platform purge will begin. The billionaire added that the accounts that would be deleted had not had a login or tweet "for years" in a subsequent tweet. A new software update for Twitter that will display the status of an account has also been announced by Musk. Users will be able to see if they have been shadowbanned after the update.
