16-year-old Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh wins another title

Indian Grandmaster D. Gukesh has won the World Chess Armageddon Asia and Oceania event by defeating former World Rapid Champion Noridbek Abdusatrov of Uzbekistan in the final. After missing the chance in the first game, Gukesh lost the next game, but after that, he used his extra chance and started again in the match.

The first game of the 'new' match proved to be a draw after Gukesh continued to dominate. He has won the next game to become the champion. Both Gukesh and Abdusatarov have made it to the Grand Finale of Armageddon in September. The 16-year-old Gukesh triumphed in a competition that included former world classical champions Vladimir Kramnik, Daniil Dubov, Yangyi Yu (China), Vidit Gujrati, Karthikeyan Murali (both India), and Param Maghsoodlu (Iran).

After the win, Gukesh tweeted, "Delighted to win the thrilling Armageddon Championship Series 2023 in Asia and Oceania." Enjoy a whole new experience of how to play the tournament.
