Bengaluru: Eight people have been arrested on charges of raping and trafficking a 15-year-old girl in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. Police said that among these arrested eight accused, a relative of the rape victim girl is also involved. According to media reports, an FIR was lodged at Sringeri police station on January 30 following a complaint by the chairman of the District Child Welfare Committee in Chikkamagaluru. According to the information, the rape victim has accused more than 17 people of rape and sexual exploitation. Additional SP Sriti told the media that, along with the rape victim, 17 men raped and sexually abused for five months. A relative of the victim is also accused in this entire case. The police officer said, 'The rape victim worked in a stone crushing unit, where she met bus driver Girish. Girish raped the victim.' Police said that Girish gave the victim's number to a boy named Abhi. He also raped the girl. Abhi also took pornographic pictures of the girl and made videos. After this, when he did not fill his mind, later he also started blackmailing the minor. After this whole affair, his friends also raped the girl. Police said that after the death of her mother three years ago, the victim lived with a relative, who has been arrested by the police. It is alleged on the relative that he was aware of this entire incident.
