New Delhi: The corona epidemic has wreaked havoc everywhere. The entireindigenous corona vaccine Covaxin, made with the help of Indian Council of Medical Research and vaccine company Bharat Biotech, government of India, will be produced in Bulandshahr, a city near Delhi. The Central Government has given its nod for the same. Bibkol, a company in Chola area of Bulandshahr, will produce Covaxin and produce about 2 crore vaccine doses every month. 30 crore has also been sanctioned by the Ministry of Health, Central Government. Bibcol means Bharat Immunological and Biological Limited is a Government of India company and so far it produces polio vaccine in the country. But at present, the corona vaccine is considered to be the most needed in the country, so BIBCOL has been asked to produce corona vaccine. It produces only about 60 per cent of the polio vaccine produced in the same country BIBCOL. This means that this company has a large capacity to produce vaccines. Meanwhile, it is also learnt that an expert committee on Tuesday urged testing for the second/third phase of Corona Vaccine of Bharat Biotech for children (aged 2-18). Official sources said this. He said the test will be conducted at several places including AIIMS in Delhi and Patna and Meditrina Institute of Medical Sciences at Nagpur.
