Surat: Wednesday, a picture of a car of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel and those who died during the Patidar quota agitation was found burnt in Sarthana. After the police investigation, it was revealed that the car was purportedly burnt by its owner and the reason behind burning own car is to claim insurance money. Later, Police has detained two persons Bhavesh Danger and Nitin Dangar.
A K Patel, police inspector, Sarthana police station stated, "Police are working to nab Choradiya who burnt the car with help of his two friends. Only after arrested of Choradiya we can get to know more details”
The car was spotted burning near Sarthana old octroi naka around 3.30 am. Locals alerted the fire department, but the car was completely burnt by the time they arrived.
