Recently, a case of rape of a Dalit girl in Bahraich and not even 24 hours have come to light that a minor girl belonging to minority community in Sitapur district has been gang-raped. In a written complaint, the police claimed of gangrape inside the school. Sitapur Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pratap Singh has confirmed the complaint. Singh said that the minor girl, in her written complaint, said that two men had alternately gangraped her inside the Islamia school in Sadarpur. 4 members of the family found dead in their house in Gurugram Police have registered a complaint and started searching for the accused. The police claimed that the perpetrators of the incident would be arrested soon. On June 29, a Dalit woman in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh was accused of raping three men by taking her behind a telephone exchange. The victim had also accused the police of defending the accused. In the past, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had held a meeting with top police officials and directed them to rein in rising criminal incidents. After the chief minister's direction, the police became active, but even then the criminal incidents are not reducing. It has also raised questions over the functioning of the police.
