2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport

Originally introduced in late April in South Korea, the Hyundai Elantra Sports features a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and will deliver “more than 200 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque,” according to Hyundai.]

The figures might be slightly different than what was announced in South Korea, where it bowed with 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque.

Regardless, the 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport will be the most powerful Elantra model ever and shoppers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

It’s not just performance under the hood that makes the Elantra Sport particularly exciting, as Hyundai has also outfitted the model with independent multi-link rear suspension.

There’s also more aggressive bodywork and model-specific interior upgrades like a flat-bottomed steering wheel, sport seats and red contrast stitching.
