India's T20 squad against Kiwis announced, Hitman to lead

Just a few days after the T20 world cup India will have to play a 3 match T20 series at home against the Kiwis and for this, the T20 squad of team India has been announced. The wave of conjecture had already begun ahead of this. Many changes are considered to have originated in Indian cricket and have been made also. For the T20 International series against New Zealand, Rohit Sharma has been selected as captain in limited-overs. Sharma might possibly be handed the captaincy of the Indian squad for the first Test match against New Zealand.

Virat Kohli, the current Indian captain, will miss the first Test and rejoin the squad in Mumbai for the second. Kohli is also given rest for the whole T20 International series against Black Caps as well. Ajinkya Rahane, the current vice-captain, will stay as vice-captain despite his poor performance against England. For the T20 series, KL Rahul has been appointed as vice-captain. Jaipur, Ranchi, and Kolkata will host the first three T20is Internationals and the two-Test matches will be played at Kanpur and Mumbai, the series will be determined by two Test matches.

For the T20 International series, certain veteran players, including Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, have been rested. and some best IPL performer players have been added t the Indian T20 squad. The first name that came to the limelight is Harshal  Patel, the purple cap holder was a standout performer in the IPL the past two seasons, but he was left out of the T20 World Cup. Shreyas Iyer, who was previously not a member of the T20 squad, has returned.  Deepak and Rahul Chahar have also been included in the group. Rather than these a surprising name have also been added to the squad is none other than Kolkata's top performer Venkatesh Iyer as an allrounder.
