Ranchi: Security forces engaged in the security of road construction work in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand have been martyred in the IED blast planted by the Naxalites. Three soldiers were killed in the bomb blast, while two jawans are said to be injured. The five jawans belong to the Jaguar of Jharkhand. The incident is being reported at 8.45 am on Thursday. According to the information, the construction work of the road on the hill has been started in Lanji village under Toklo police station area of Porahat forest under Chakradharpur block of West Singhbhum district. With the construction of this road, the villagers will get rid of a big problem. But this hill is also a stronghold of Naxalites, where the Naxalites find shelter to hide. On Thursday morning, while the security forces were conducting a search operation for the safety of the road construction work, the Naxalites blasted the soldiers with a directional IED bomb. There was a loud blast as soon as the bomb blast, the echo of which was heard many kilometers away. Five soldiers were injured after the bombings. Out of which two jawans died on the spot itself. After the incident, an army helicopter was brought from Ranchi on the spot. Three injured jawans were sent to Ranchi for better treatment by airlift from the helicopter that reached Lanji, but in the course of treatment, another jawan died.
