Bhopal: Jyotiraditya Scindia has got the aviation ministry after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet expansion. In fact, Jyotiraditya Scindia was sworn in as a minister at Rashtrapati Bhavan last Wednesday evening. Let me tell you that Jyotiraditya Scindia has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Civil Aviation in this Cabinet expansion and most importantly, his father took over the same Ministry 30 years ago. Yes, Jyotiraditya Scindia, who belongs to the Gwalior dynasty, has reached Parliament for the fifth time. You must know that his father Madhavrao Scindia was a senior Congress leader. In fact, Madhavrao Scindia was the Civil Aviation Minister in PV Narasimha Rao's government. He held the Ministries of Civil Aviation and Tourism in the Rao Government from 1991 to 1993. He was then the Energy Minister (Independent) Charge in the Manmohan Singh Government. Jyotiraditya Scindia will now take over the responsibility of the Ministry of Civil Aviation just like his father. Most importantly, both Madhavrao Scindia and Jyotiraditya served as ministers at the Centre before assuming charge of the Civil Aviation Ministry. Talking about Jyotiraditya, he has served as communications and IT minister in the Manmohan government. Jyotiraditya Scindia has been credited with reviving the postal system. Jyotiraditya, who became an MP for the first time in 2002, started his political journey after the death of his father Madhavrao Scindia and is now having a good journey.
