New Delhi: Four people who have recently returned to Delhi from the United Kingdom have been reported to be infected with a new strain of coronavirus. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has confirmed this on Thursday. He told the media that a total of 38 people who returned to Delhi from the UK have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus and have been kept in separate institutional quarantines at the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash (LNJP) hospital complex. Although a new strain of corona has been found in a total of 7 people who have returned from England, but 4 of them are from Delhi. According to Satyendra Jain, there are four patients who have been confirmed to have been infected with the new strain of Coronavirus found in Britain. People who come in contact with them have been tested and they have not got the infection. Thus, these are the four patients infected with the new strain of the virus in Delhi. Satyendra further said that UK flights which have come to a standstill are being tracked and tested rapidly. Health Minister Jain said that the rate of infection has come down to 0.8% from 15.26% as on November 7. At present about 85% of the beds are vacant. If seen, the situation has improved a lot. Therefore, it has been decided to keep LNJP and GTB Hospital reserved for parturient Covid-19 patients. Among these, the rest of the services including OPD will start soon.
