40% Indian professionals expect new jobs to boost next year: LinkedIn

According to LinkedIn's year-end report, India has remained cautiously optimistic and resilient in the face of uncertainty, and overall confidence scores remained steady between +50 and +57 from April to November. Nine in 10 professionals would spend equal or more time working during the year-end holiday season, compared to last year. 57 per cent of professionals say they would increase their time spent in online learning going forward.

According to LinkedIn data, the average number of monthly learning hours on LinkedIn Learning increased by three times from April to December 2020 as compared to pre-pandemic months of January and February. The report further said that As of November 2020, 4 in 5 or 78 per cent of unemployed professionals feel stressed, and only 1 in 3 or 32 per cent Indians expect their incomes to increase, heading into the new year.
