Wednesday, A 41-year-old watchman of an estate was crushed to death by an elephant at Soondi, about 80 km from here, the police said.
The victim was identified as Radhakrishnan, a watchman of Briarwood Estate, was returning home when the elephant appeared in front of him and trampled him to death.
The Cope said that the body has been taken to Gudalur Goverment Hospital for post-mortem.
